Honor your Dickenson County Veteran

The Dickenson County Historical Society is seeking photos of Dickenson County veterans to add to their archives.

If you have a relative from Dickenson County who served in the U.S. Military, you are asked to consider adding their photo to the archives.  Photos will be scanned and saved, preserving the original and displayed to the public on July 4th, during festivities at the Historical Society’s offices in Clintwood.

If you have any uniforms or memorabilia of your veteran, you are asked to consider letting the Dickenson County Historical Society display your military memorabilia during the festivities of July 4th.

Historical Society announces 4th of July Events

The Dickenson County Historical Society will hold a Genealogy Book Fair in conjunction with the Historical Society’s Military Tribute , featuring photos, uniforms, and memorabilia.  The event will feature authors displaying their books and a chance to get to know the author up close.

Historical Society to meet April 7

Virginia Designation Located on State Route 83

The Dickenson County Historical Society will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday April 7th, 2018 at 1:00 PM at 168 Ralph Cummins Avenue, in the white building closest to the fieldhouse in Clintwood.

Members are urged to attend and the general public is also welcome to attend and interact with the historical society members, while viewing the new location of the historical society offices.
